Hi,

I just recently acquired a Red 1993 Nissan 240sx SE Fastback with a 5 speed manual transmission. The car has 66,000 miles on it, and is mint condition mechanically. The interior is not too bad, there are no rips in the seats, the dash is perfect, and the sunroof visor is not cracked. It was owned by one owner the entire time, I actually bought the car from the same dealership it was sold from brand new way back in 1993, not to mention all of the service has been done there as well. But there is a semi negative side, which also happens to be good in this story.

The owner was an older couple (good side, it hasn’t been thrashed) and left it out in the hot sun to bake all day, and it appears as if they never washed it. My reasoning behind this is I found some circular spots on the hood where tree sap or something had been there for a long time and ate away the paint. But besides that, and some marks and plugs on the trunk lid from where the shot spoiler was, the paint is in remarkable condition. Again though, there is a large amount of dents all over the doors and fenders where they must have hit it with their canes (heh). The dents are small and not creased, so I will have to get a pops-a-dent or something. The black tape towards the bottom that goes around the car looks brand new except for the back bumper. I took off the back bumper tape, because for some reason it was sun faded, dried up, and had turned white. It practically looked like different tape. Well anyway, does anyone know where I can get OEM factory vinyl black tape to replace the back bumper? The car is in such good condition, I want to keep its super stock looks for now, and do under the hood work; exterior styling comes later. I don’t want to start another thread about the tape, so I figure I’ll just ask it here.

Wow, so 4 years of searching with a maximum distance of 50 miles away have finally paid off. Anyway I’ll have some pictures up later today, I have to give it its royal bath today, and then you can see it ;).

Haha, I guess I'll have to change the thread name. I can't take pictures today because a nasty thunderstorm is rolling in, I’ll try tomorrow.

At first I wanted to get rid of the tape, but everybody I've talked too has told me in a very defiant way to keep it. I think it looks really clean without it, but the car is in such good condition it pratically looks like it just rolled of the showroom floor in 1993. So now I want to keep it looking like a super stock brand new S13. I'll probably take the tape off when I decide to put on a GP Sports G4 Smoothing kit, but that won't be for awhile because I plan to be all go and then show, so I want to put some replacement tape back on to ease my mind for now.

P.S. What is the difference between the GP Sports G4 Smoothing and Built-In kit?
