after 10lbs boost problem

whats up guys i have a precsion sc50 and its weird if i set the boost controller one way i will boost strong to like 10 lbs. if i turn the mbc like a half of turn it will boost to 10lbs andafter that my gauge will say its going to 15-18lbs but really wont make power past 10lbs any info is appreashted. personally i think the turbo is shot .

where in the setup is the boost gauge reading from? before or after intercooler? also, what do you mean it won't make any power past 10psi? there is also the possibility that your MBC's spring is only good for about 10psi, and that turning it past that just shuts off the flow entirely or almost entirely, thus blocking the wastegate from opening much or at all, in which case the turbo would put out as much boost as it physically can, but all the while blowing really hot air.

that waste gate i ssupposed to have a 12psi spring not unless u asked for a 10 psi one, mine came with a 12psi spring

I KNOW THAT BUT CAR MAKE BOOST PAST 10 LBS BUT gauge READS 15-18 ITS WEIRD

i'm passed thinking about a wastegate problem. i think it has to do with the manual boost controller or one of the lines. it could be the wastegate, though. i suggested to him to ditch the MBC and get a stiffer WG spring like 15psi, and then go back to the softer WG spring and try a different MBC from a friend or something. i'm almost willing to bet one of those tests will result in finding the problem.
