your problem may be that the ECU isnt supposed to read the Z32 MAF....amongst other problems(new injector sizing, etc)

what else are you running on the system(FMIC, etc)

I would take that to a shop with a wide-band 02 sensor and strapt it to a dyno, once you eliminate the possibility thats its more than just a "tuning" problem..-chet

have you set the MAF adjustment in the AFC to z32? Also remember to have 1 in 1 out, set for z32 instead of sr20det and it should be fine. If you're still having trouble, check your wiring.

that works with the old s-afc, too I take it (I have the s-afc, not the s-afc2)???

that would be nice. running a 550cc injector setup with a Z32 and I dont have to spend the 600 dollars for a JWT re-write..-chet

Are you ****ting me??? How is that so?? They dont make S-AFC specific to Nissan do they??? So why would Apexi program them to just let you choose Z32 MAF. Unless you pick your car from a pick list. I have never seen/used a S-AFC. I was looking at the e-manage system though. I didnt think it would be that easy. I know with the emanage you could set the different injector sizes, but I am not too sure about the Z32 MAF. Do eithe rof the people who stated this have these products. I am not flaming...I just passed up a great deal on a Z32 MAF becuase I dont know who to give my RB20 ECU fro a retune. If I can get a e-manage and just set it to Z32, then that would be great

alot of the guys on sr20deforum.com are using either safc or the e-manage in combination with the z32 maf. You could find alot of examples there. :)

yeah the model directly previous to the safc2 will do the z32 i believe, i'm not 100% certain though. When it comes to 550cc, then you should look into the emanage, it handles larger injectors better. but yeah...jim wolf should be scared :pface

the s-afc will let you choose the z32 maf and convert it to s13 maf. but the timing maps are still set up for a different setup. for ease of install do jwt ecu for $500. my s-afc never did a good job of changing to z32 maf. i would get crazy part throttle drivability.shaun

Either way, you need to have some sort of tools to tune the car:

1. Knock Sensor2. Wideband 023. EGT Gauge

Dyno work's best cause you can find the correct peak power for the car.
