Having some problems with my KA. This only happened twice but the car would stutter really bad when started and under acceleration. I've also had a erratic, high idle for awhile now that I haven't been able to identify, and also a slight stumble when accelerating between 2k and 3k RPMS. New cap, rotor, sparkplugs, fuel filter, pcv valve, cleaned throttle body and MAF.

Can too little fuel cause a high idle? Usually when fuel pumps go out do they just crap out or slowly die out? Could this be a fuel injector problem? FPR?

a vaccum leak can cause a high idle, coolant temp sensor connector corroicion has been known to cause erratic idle conditions. the sputtering at start up is a good indication of the sensor problem. start with that connector.
