Same old song & dance my friends! Hooked up the wiring to the 02 sensortoday, and the car ran worse than ever. Before the gauge would read rich, stoich, and then lean when I got on the gas. Now, it only reads rich.Bought a new 02 sensor, but this one only had one main wire instead of 3.Both times I bought them were for a 88' Pulsar NX 1.8. but they're both different? fed all 3 wires into the one main one on the O2, and the gauge doesn't read anything, car runs like crap. Though it is wired up exactly like a SR, which shop could do my wiring? out of options

I hope you didn't put all three wires at once into the new one wire 02 sensor..

I'd have to slap you with a cold fish if this is true.

The three wires are earth, 12V and signal. The one wire is just signal.

With the one wire sensor, you have no heater, so it may take 10 minutes to heat up before you start getting good fuel economy or good idle.

The wire from the single wire 02 sensor should goto pin 29 on the ECU.

Ouch. It sounds like you hooked all 3 wires upto the single wire O2 sensor. If you did, you probabally blew a fuse somewhere, ruined the O2 sensor, and toasted the gauge....

Alright, that explains it. (Japanese ) I've posted about this before and didn't really get any help. There are no CA18 cars around my area, and no shop will touch it. Everytime I bought an O2, it had the 3 wires coming from a plug. Car has never ran right. How could I know they were selling me the wrong one?!The gauge was connected to the ECU. Thanks for the replys, I appriciate it.float_6969, the SR T25 will ship on Wednesday.

Just an FYI on the subject-- I used the O2 sensor from am '86 200SX with the CA18ET and it plugged right into the factory harness. Worked like a charm and cost me $35 from the local parts store.
