Aero kit question

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I'm thinking about putting the aero kit on my EX35 but would like to still have my mud flaps. This means I will have to forgo the side door sills. Without the side sills is the black plastic covered around the wheel wells or does that still remain black? Also, has anyone had this donw without the side sills and have any pics they can post? Thanks!

Good question, hopefully someone knows the answer, everyone I have seen has had the full kit.

Check my post "My EX" I got only the front lip and painted the factory sides and rear to keep the mud flaps.

The side sill entended all the way to the end. Once you ahve the factory side sill painted, the front bud guard will cover it nicely to match the plastick around the wheels. However the rear might look a little odd unless your car is black. What you can do is paint that portion flat black to match the rear or wrap it with a sheet of flat black trim tape.

Thanks very much. I did look at your post and pics....very nice!!

I was wondering if the body shop told you exactly how they painted it ... and how many coats? I supposed they just sanend it, primed it and then painted it. Did they put a clear coat on?

Did they guarantee it against chipping?

I think if the price is reasonable I will go for it. May i ask how much the body shop charged?

Thanks.
