I'll be driving it home without a front plate (just over 2 hours). I'm not worried about getting pulled over on the trip back but I will need to figure something out eventually. Around town it's not a big deal, but when I'm on the interstate, it seems like state patrol will look for anything to pull someone over. (hopefully there aren't any state troopers on this forum lol).Mjkkb2 wrote:Had it about a year. The quality is very good. This plate is thick and would be hard to bend. I still avoid car wash stations unless it's touch less because the license extends past the plate and it will get bent easily. I would recommend getting it. However, cost of two zip ties sure beats the $85
I was pulled over twice when my G had no plate. One time on the interstate, (the cop said it was due to my 20% tint, but I knew it was because I didn't have a front plate and he mentioned it as well) and another time it was because it "appeared" I was going fast around a bend and the cop also mentioned my lack of front plate.TheMajesticKing wrote:I was gonna get the stillen tow hook plate holder but the placement seems weird to me. Can you post pics? the other one didn't work. It could be my computer too. I'll check when I get home later.White-Rush wrote:I didn't like the placement of the stillen bracket, so that's how i ended up with the mounted plate.
I had the dealership install mine, and the process required them to remove the bumper for installation. There are marked points on the inside of the bumper and thats where they would drill (not just a random spot).
Here in my area, i dont take chances, ill rock a front plate all day, because i cant stand being harassed by the cops.. Pointless.
Very cool. It looks like I can adjust the height of the mount so I can raise it or lower it as I need to. Seeing this design, I can probably fab something up that will work from the hardware store. Nice!
I can see itWhite-Rush wrote:Can anyone else see the pic, besides me? If not, ill re host it using something other than Dropbox.
Great! This was what I was looking for. I think I might look into the mount mentioned above for now but thanks for the info!DoN_BLaZe34 wrote:Not sure about the non-sport bumper license bracket but I can tell you that the license plate brackets for both the aero and sport bumper are the same, so I would imagine all 3 bumpers use the same bracket.
My work computer doesn't like dropbox. I can see it from my home computer though. Thanks!White-Rush wrote:Can anyone else see the pic, besides me? If not, ill re host it using something other than Dropbox.
Me too. And Imma roll like that for as long as I can. It's funny because in my Altima SER, I didnt have a front plate either. Although I never got pulled over for that, I did get pulled over for tint multiple times until I just had to take it off.TheMajesticKing wrote: I'm just going hard with no plate.
I can't. I've been pulled over twice for not having a plate. Once on the interstate and once in the city. This was on my modded G. I'm sure the car has more to do with it than the presence of a plate or not...damn pigs...coolchuck wrote:Me too. And Imma roll like that for as long as I can. At least for now the M isn't my daily driver.
