Doubt it would do much at all with just those mods. By the way, your color is the most beautiful s14 color produced IMO.

Hey 96s14,

I live in Berekeley and I have same color S14 :)

I'm curently looking into HKS SuperAFR. It is lower in price and Nismo_Freak swears it is better than SAFC on N/A aplications.

Anyway, we should get a local meet going. there's a bunch of people here from berkeley.

96s14,

Actualy something on the topic. Do the search on"S-AFC" in KA24E/KA24DE forum. There were couple of peeps with SAFC on NA cars.

s-afc is a good mod to any car as long as it's tuned up properly. I've seen quite a few 240's run rich, the afc helps to lean it down a bit so you'll get better/worse (depending if stock you run rich which I'm betting on or lean) mileage and a tad bit more power with better emissions. I've one now on my ka and it works well. One of the key parts to getting roughly 30-33mpg on the highway, although in city driving hasn't been changed much it vary's with the way I drive from 25-28mpg. That is with, however, a full tune up and yes the afc will be used when i go to the sr this december. So it's up to you if you want to fork out the cash for it, I gotta admit it's a pretty hefty pricetag but it's also got some extra features that'll help you along the way like alerts of going a bit far with your engine in airflow, rpm, knock, etc and if you're at the track, you can record your car's stats while it runs and see what it's doing and then adjust your maps to the different driving styles.

Yea man, your color only came on 240's in '96. I forget the official name of it, but its amazing I think. I like mine also, but it is one of the most common colors on an s14 it seems like. Mine is blue emerald (the blue/green color).

i kind of want an safc 2. just don't know if it's even worth putting on my car with only intake and cat-back.

well it's an investment that'll grow in value as your car does too, just because you've an exhaust now don't mean you won't have more later and after a while it'll pay for itself or at least it did for me but depends on what you want man. for 300+ for the afc2, I think you could get soemthing that'll get you a bit more power like some cams, but personally I like to get the most out of my existing parts before swapping them and that's something the afc lets me do.
