is this a good buy?

is there someplace else i could get it cheaper?

ive searched the internet and this is all i could find.

I don't know much about that kit as far as performance but that is a good price. I looked at the same kit at a lot of different places and that's the lowest I could find. You can find the AEM Cold Air Intake kit for slightly less but the Short Ram kit is a little more. Seems odd to me that the CAI would be less but that's what I found.

i need to get a heat shield for short rams right?

i dont think this kit comes with a heat shield

do i have to worry about engine seize if i go with the injen cold air??

Only if you somehow manage to submerge your filter in the water. Then you get hydrolock. Its not too hard to avoid.

Aem allows you to use a bypass valve which helps avoid hydrolock.http://www.modified.com/tech/0....html

An injen hydroshield helps repel dirt and rain from the filter.http://www.racinglab.com/injen....html

Beautiful thing about the injen is that you can convert it to short ram whenever you want.

i took your advice and bought the injen. think im gunna use the short ram version of it
