"The rise in the popularity of drifting has turned the 240SX into an icon, as tuners and engine builders enhance the existing KA24DE engine, and create JDM Silvia-spec racers from S13- and S14-bodied 240s, by transplanting an SR20DET engine. AEM's EMS for these applications provides tuners with complete control over all aspects of engine operation for the ultimate level of performance and drive-ability."

Starting at $1599 or GB price of $1499

will work on automatic 89 KA24E just fine also? I figured there are default maps for the 24de, but wondering if there are for the 24e, or if it would make much of a difference.

Also, how many people before it is considered a group buy, how long do I have to sign up, when will it end and get shipped out, etc?

Thanks!

Yes it will work fine with the KA24E.

6 or more is typical but if there are four others I'll make an exception. My group buy prices always stand. That way if it takes 2 days or 2 weeks to get the group together, you'll still get the same good deal. Regularly stocked items are shipped within 24-36 hours of verified payment. We can do 2nd day air in some cases at an extra charge and you're always provided with a tracking number and eta of delivery.

That'd be a no but I would like to be the one to earn your business. AEM released these EMS's in late summer. It was big news at the time. Now it's old news.

But as far as we know, the S14 models have not been released, just like the Skyline ones I asked about in my missing post. (There is an EMS that can be used in an S14 but it's either for an SR or the early 95 KA, i.e-OBD1)

The 1610(U) and 1611(U) are past final verification and will be ready to ship by month's end.

The remaining EMS' for the 240 are available. I thought he was referring to the KA24E since that was my last post. The 30-1600 model is for manual trannies only but will work on the KA.

If anyone out there has an RB swap even you have an EMS available. AEM understands that the 240 is a strong presence and isn't slowing down on pushing out these EMS's.

so when you say for manual trannies only, does that mean it will not work well w/ autos? or do I just have to figure out how to tune w/ auto? don't happen to have links by any chance do you? I'll also go check out aempower forums. Thanks Jayson.

AEM doesn't support the automatic transmissions for Nissans. It may be possible but we don't have any guinea pigs down here.

so..I'm in that early 95 KA bracket. With OBDI. Which EMS works with the OBDI s14?? B/C technically the OBDI S14's use the same OBDII style ECU and everything. I was kind of surprised when I went to pull codes from the ECU, and the connector was the style of OBDII, but I swore my car was OBDI..

The 30-1610U is for the OBD1 and the 30-1611U is for the OBD2 but these are the two we've been talking about that are released in the next couple of weeks.

How many people interested will be needing one of these two EMS'?

Aren't authorized AEM dealers supposed to sell the EMS' at no lower than a certain retail price set by AEM? I'm all for cheap EMS' unfortunately I already have mine. Just thought I read that somewhere? *shrug*

Since SDR is small and I don't need a big overhead I choose to pass my savings on to my customers. If everyone would rather pay $80-$85 more their parts, I can do that but I prefer to offer my customers good service as well as good prices.

I can even understand the hesitation but for those that remember me from that other parts site 'I can't currently name due to better business regulations' I was the one who knocked prices down over there. I even told you guys my boss was mad because I had knocked the prices down so low. But the fact is we weren't hurting there and I'm not hurting here.

I rather like it that people find my prices unbelievable but please...only quote facts on my threads. Only a dealer is gonna know what cost is and what the pricing floor is on any parts. If you guys are dealers you're jacking my thread and you're overpriced. lol

Get with some of the guys in Dallas or those that bought from me before. I'm not shady nor disreputable. I'm just trying to save you guys money...but if you want me to up my price...I can do that too.

I never once said you were shady or disreputable. I just asked a question regarding AEM pricing from authorized dealers. I never stated facts, it was just a simple question. If you read my post you'll also notice I said

"I'm all for cheap EMS' unfortunately I already have mine."

Obviously meaning if I hadn't already purchased one I would buy one from you for such a good price.

Not you rob...you were just the last to post. There were other questions about it earlier in the thread. I'm just leaving it out there for those interested though. I'll have a whole new gang of JDM engines to list soon for people to argue over lol. Oh and when I say lol, it's true. I'm too easy going to be offended.

Very soon!

The EMS' below match these vehicles:

30-1620U 1990-1995 Nissan 300ZX 1992-1994 Nissan Maxima VE30DE

30-1621U 1989-2004 Nissan Skyline RB26DETT 1993-1998 Nissan Skyline RB25DET 1989-1994 Nissan Skyline RB20DET

But release will most likely be with the others noted in the above posts.
