No, the final fitted product still hasn't reached full production. If anybody has any they are of the old design which does not fit if you plan on keeping your battery in the engine bay. The new part has been test fitted, dynoed and approved for production. It should be making it's way to retailers by the end of the month.

Hello: DId you order an AEM CAI? I just ordered one on Thursday and am still waiting for it. I did some research and the AEM info site said they just released it so I ordered it. DO you know if this kit requires the battery to be moved? I hope not as I was not planning on doing that. I originally wanted just a better filter but I came across the AEM CAI and it sounded like a great mod that would improve both HP & MPG. Thanks ahead of time for any info you can share with me.

PS: I ordered it from the same website--Autoanything.

AEM was using my car to get the fitment just right so you wouldn't have to move the battery. The original design was based on a pre-production model that had the battery in a different location. They have redesigned the part to fit properly and are trying to get the new part to the distributors asap. If you just ordered one the supplier may wait until they get the new part in or they may just ship you the older version if they still have them on the shelf. In that case just test fit it and see how it fits. AEM makes quality stuff and should fit with no modifications. If you have to modify anything you probably got the wrong part and need to call the store to get the replacement.

Thanks for the info! I'm expecting it today via ups so I will see. If it's the old version I will send it back.

Did you get your AEM CAI kit? I ordered one and should have it on the 10th. Just wondering if you know how it fits and if the battery has to be relocated? Thanks ahead of time for the info.

For the "LAY" person, can you explain in basic terms what this will do for the Versa SL CVT and if my HUSBAND could install it without any problems. If it's that easy, maybe I would and let him take a breather!

AS far as performance goes on the versa you won't really see a huge gain. It is more or less to look good and simplify the engine carpet. Getting rid of the rats nest of useless intake tubing makes the engine bay so much cleaner. The intake sounds alot better also, you can definately hear it suck more air into it.If your husband is remotely mechanically inclined(ie can change his own oil) there is no reason he can't install it himself. It only requires basic hand tools and if he has never done something like this the instructions provided with the kit will tell him everything he needs to know step by step.

Sorry to burst everybody's bubble, but I called AEM myself because I want the CAI as bad as you all, and guess what? They will only be coming out in 6-8 weeks.

I ordered the old one a long time ago and as soon as it hit UPS in Canada, AEM called the parts back, SOOO everybody is going to have to hold on tight!

Hello all: I didn't get it on the 10th like I thought I was. I received a package and it only had the filter cleaning solution with no other explanation. I e-mailed Autoanything and am still waiting for a reply. It sounds like we all have to wait to get out AEM CAI's. I would rather wait a bit than get the old one and have to return it .

Or wait until K&N or another company makes one.
