I was looking for Pros/Cons/Experiences with the AEM Fuel/Ignition controller. Keep in mind this is my alternative to a ROM tune . Ive heard people refer to it as a "Mini EMS", im guessing this is because it has the basic functionality as the EMS ( fuel and timing control) but without the other bells and whistles like boost control by gear , etc.

Has anyone used one of these for an SR20DET ( I have a redtop in my S14). Im just weary as AEM doesnt not have it on its application list as well as the hard wiring into the car. I need something like this as I have a GTiR T28 and 555cc injectors waiting to go in.

Heres a link for anyone who doesnt know what im talking about http://www.aempower.com/ViewCa...D=116

It is a good unit. It has some quirks like not being able to advance timing but you can compensate for that buy advancing the base timing on the distributor and then retarding in the f/ic. I'm not sure as to exactly which unit you would want for you car but if you give one of the tech guys at AEM a call they are very good, and will get you straightened out.
