Just curious, finally have my car up and running correctly after working out all the bugs. Getting ready to do a turbo upgrade, manifold, intake, etc and throwing around the idea of the ems. I hear most people running the PFC but I can get the ems for about the same price.

Those that run the ems, are you converted to speed density?

I will be running it also. Make sure who ever you have tunning it, that they are very familiar with the aem unit. That unit has a **** load of options & it is very easy to get in over your head. Make sure you have your tuner walk you through everything step by step if you intend to mess it with it yourself.

Most if not all tuners use AEM so I doubt it'll be hard to find a good tuner.

Sounds good, we have a pretty good tuner here in Columbus ( actually a few of them I know have tuned rb's) Just wanted to see what everyone that was running the ems thought before I dropped the money on it. I just wanted to be sure that I wasnt making a mistake. Im not going really crazy, shooting for close to 380 but want to be sure I have a killer tune to be as safe as possible.

The tune is what holds a motor together and your heading in the right direction.

good job, 380 with a killer tune sounds dead on.

I was tring to say that it has a lot of different options, & it is easy to make stupid mistakes. Don't ask me how I know that.

Been running one for about 2 1/2yrs, serial #18.Had major issues with the CAS not being read correctly but I've since installed an AEM custom trigger wheel (was free, now it's not i hear). No more problems.Self tuned, 16psi with the GM boost control soleniod and aem map sensor.

ok. So is the cas still an issue if i buy this tomorrow? More details fellas! Also, sup with the map sensor? Is it more reliable than the MAF? What i understood it to be was for better tuning past 400hp.
