I just got off the phone with JP at AEM and the S14 EMS will be released for sale in about a month and a half. Barring any problems (which according to JP shouldnt be an issue) you could have your S14 AEM EMS by Christmas!!!

I am so psyched. I have had a Honda 1010 box sitting in my tool locker for 6 months now waiting to go into my 95 240 but now I will have PLUG AND PLAY baby!!!!

Get your orders in now!!!!

Will the Wideband one be released the same time? Any word on the official price? Anyone interested in a group buy? This is INCREDABLE news! Made my night!

is it possible to use the voltage output of another wideband unit such as the LM-1 in place of the AEM UEGO wideband or is there a special connector

Yes, there will be a 30-1611 and a 30-1611U (built in wide band). Pricing will be the same as the S13. You can find pricing on the S13 EMS on web pages for shops that are specializing in KA-Ts (hint hint) Talk to Fiznat about the group purchase he is putting together. I am glad that I made your night.

I am pretty sure there is no difference between the early and late S14s. Both my 95s have the same ECU plugs as the 97 - 98s that I have dealt with. Its actually kind of weird that my 95 has both the Nissan 2 data connector by the fuse box and an OBDII compliant connector on the right side of the dash. I have tried to get codes thru it but it didnt work right. Also, my 5 speed has the crank sensor at the top of the trans bellhousing for missfire detection. Again the OBDII missfire detection isnt functioning.

I guess the answer would be that this EMS will cover 95 - 98 240s in addition to any other nissan that uses the same ECU connectors.

JP said he really liked the S14 box because of the number of pins on the factory harness. Second only to the MKIV Supra. This means easy to wire up multiple I/Os

Yes you can calibrate the EMS to work with the LM-1. We used the FJO with the AEM pretty exclusivly prior to the AEM UEGO coming out. If its popular enough, in the software, there will be just a box to check to let the ECU know your using the LM-1. Slick shiznit huh??

You will want the NON U box and you will just cut the factory 02 input wire near the ECU and connect the LM-1 output wire to it and then make sure the cailbration is good and your MONEY.....

BTW, the AEM UEGO is really nice... best part is that the replacement sensors are only like 80 bux.

My car comes off the road the end of this month...i'm still gonna get it asap! Plug it in, hook up the laptop and play with the features and read up on everything it does...that way, come spring i'll have a clue what i'm at...

I'm still kinda unsure about one ecu covering 95-98 240's...wasn't the 95 switched to OBDII about mid year? My car was made in mid 94 according to the VIN and is certianly OBDI...and on AEM's site there's a seperate listing for the 95(obd1) and 96-98(obd2)...so which one was JP refering too?

And Structure, where did you hear the 95's EMS was released? The site still says "coming soon"....

Hey redline, why not pop your pass kick panel off and look at the plugs that go into the ECU. Let me know what they look like. I will tell you which one it needs...

I can promise you that the S14 EMS is not out. If by chance, some of the early 95s had the S13 ECU in them, then the 30-1600 will work for them.

good news, reason i ask is because i already have the LM-1 sitting in my garage. i would rather go with the UEGO for simplicity but id have to find someone to buy the LM-1 from me.

What year wire harness is the one that connects to the ECU? What year ECU do you have? That would be the only thing you need to know. If the wire harness is out of a 95 up then you will need the 30-1611 and if its out of 94 down you will need the 30-1600.

Finally some love for the OBD2 95!

Random Question: Does the AEM EMS carry similar fault codes as the factory unit did? EG. does the check engine light come on? Is this adjustable?

I believe you can program it to turn the CEL on for a number of different warnings.

Your set then with either the 30-1600 or 30-1600U
