AEM EMS Mac?

I just got my ems today and was wondering if anyone using a ems with macintosh? I have one and I was reading that the serial to usb adapters dont work very well so I was wondering what people with a mac are using to connect to the ems. Thanks

I didnt have a mac but I did have to use a USB adapter cause my laptop didnt have a serial port (as most newer laptops dont). You're right, the connection is really crappy and likes to drop from time to time. Its a pain, but it does work if you need it. I did all my tuning and tweaking through it, and that was lots and lots of hours.

Well I ended up just buying a old windows laptop with a serial port on it. I opened up the start up file for the ems. It was the 1611 maf. What is the difference between the maf and map? I went to setup, then injectors, then primary inj bat offfset and picked the sr20det 370cc(35lb)11ohm. That is as far as I got. Also I was looking at how I would go about tuning this thing I have absolutely no clue. I downloaded the instruction manual for the ems and nothing seems to click for me. If anyone could assist me in tuning this peice then that would help alot. I have looked around oxnard, ca. and there isnt any shops that can or will tune this for me. I read all the post on ems on nico but nothing really helped. I also have been reading on aempower.com but I really cant seem to find any help on that either. If anyone wants to help me I would really appreciate it.
