So I decided today that I want an exhaust to match my AEM CAI. I want a catback because I don't want just noise, I want performance. My understanding. is that any exhaust on the Versa will offer minimal gains, I am ok with that.

My questions are; Where can I find one for sale? and Are the mounting points the same on the sedan and hatchback?

One last question, why dose everyone call the V a Camel?

Nobody makes a cat-back yet so if you want one you'll need to find a shop to do it for you.

Kimber calls HER V a camel because of its likeness to the Sopwith Camel. Here is a thread that should explain why - zerothread?id=258279

hehehe! That's my V, Ol' Camel!! Apparently I am confusing the newer members...

Versa Speed has an axel back made by Tanabe... but no mass-produced cat back yet. (This is the last noise that came up about it being a possiblity)

good luck with that!

Yes, but a key thing is this is for the SEDAN. All current axle-backs are all for the hatch, the AEM catback under development is also for the hatch. I know of no plans for any such mod for a sedan.

It's also going to be way less likely that they ever will, given that 60% of all Versas are hatchbacks, and the majority of your tuners are going to drive hatches over sedans.

Well, this site http://autosportcity.com/dc-sp....aspx seems to have them for sale, will even let you put them in the cart and everything. I have never heard of this site, so I can assume they are full of crap.

Thanks, for the info.

Any insight on how well the axle backs mount on a sedan?

Its been up on that site for a few months now and is the same part number as the "Coming Soon" AEM cat back.

I'm sure that it will eventually be a real AEM/DC Sports catback. I wonder what you would get if you were to order it now.

Extremely poorly if at all.

basically all exhaust and body components from the b-pillar back are different on a sedan than the hatch. The sedan is a few inches longer in the rear, so where you'd expect the exhaust exit on the hatch, there's still more car to go on the sedan. If you could even get it to fit, the heat of the exhaust blowing directly into the back of the bumper would probably warp it within a matter of weeks.
