cool, but damn is it expensive for an exhaust that is mass produced! I could get a custom catback with bigger piping for about $150! CRAZY! haha

You could, but it wouldn't be "bolt on" in the sense that your old exhaust would be in one piece for bolting back on. It also would not be properly tuned...

But I'm not seeing a price? So where are you getting the info?

please dont bash aem. im sure the material and work of the aem pieces are superior to that of any normal socal muffler shop. aem i know will do complete mandrel piping and stainless steel. vs the standard pinch bend of a muffler shop.

I would have them create it to be a complete flanged exhaust. Tuned is not all that big of a deal, as long as it gets the exhaust out better, than blamo!

Im not bashing them in any way, I just think that much for an exhaust is pretty outrageous.

weee since its the versa i dont mind coughing up the money...but if it was my 240 i would just go to homedepot buy some piping there and make the bends myself. but then everybend has to be perfect at the right angles and length...and im sure aem has done numberous test with different lenghs and sizes and angles to get the perfect about of backpresure for this car.

That's the issue, you can get a good full cat-back for a 240 for a little over $200. I have a cat-back that was over $600 and one that was a little over $200. I will never pay over $300 for a cat-back again. I guess since its new to the market the price is high to cover for R&D or something, but its too high for most people I think.

i also believe that dcsports (AEM) would make their catback 50 state legal. i know for a fact that $150 system isnt.

lol, no big deal, there is a crap load of illegal things on the road, and as long as my exhaust is not loud, then I don't see a problem.
