AEM CAS error???? WTF!?

Got my car tuned with the series 1 AEM EMS and the tuner is telling me that the car is throwing a CAS error. I test drove it for the 1st time today and noticed a hiccup at idle?? The tuner thought that the screws holding the cas aem disk in place might have backed out but when he separated the housing, everything was tight? Is this a normal issue with aem and there disk? Is there a solution??

did you take out the optical sensor when you installed the CAS disc?

What optical sensor are you referring to??

Ok If you did it like the pics shouldn't be wrong. could be the CAS is going bad too, hard to say.

Looking into just purchasing a brand new one. Hate to have to swap that disk no more than twice..lol

I've read that the 300zx cas can be used as well...Might turn in that direction.

CAS errors arent normal

You can go to the 300ZX CAS, I've had one of my car for several years now. You just have to match up the plug, I've had a lot of good luck with the Mitsu CAS and usually try and steer from the Hitachi ones - also the Hitachi ones are a bit more work to get apart. I'm actually doing a 300ZX CAS for a customer right now

PS - and whoever put that DIY together looks like a stud
