Haha. Lol. I only have 15" rims/tires lying around but they are for the winter.

Congrats on the mod.

Now why did you let him do it? Half the fun of a mod is installing it yourself.

Because he was so excited to install it for me :) And he loves doing that kind of thing. I'm better at adding the cosmetic touches :)

Plus while he was installing that I cleaned his car, and my brother's BMW (since it was also in the driveway).

Ah, I would have done that tradeoff too. I'd much rather install parts than clean a car.

Lol! Ya he doesn't get bothered w/ driving a dirty car; so when I see it dirty I just clean it for him.

I'll even clean Chuckie or Chuckie Jr. if they are in the driveway and dirty.

LOL!

Ya it's disgustingly HOT over here.

Are you here for work or leisure? Did you fly here?

We should set up a meet w/ the other Ontario Versa's.

Relief from humidity today!...somewhat
My cousin who moved to Winterpeg says the cold not bad there cuz low humidity!

CAI question...will it be a problem in the heavy rain/driving snow/puddles?
Sounds grrrreat

08V: We don't get huge flooding here so it's not a big concern. As for snow, well it's usually more solid stuff than huge puddles. Plus I drive my car carefully through puddles, or in the winter. Tons of others have had CAI's who live in cold climates like us.

Today was a perfect pool day. Our pool temperature was almost 90F (and that is without a solar blanket or heater).

Weather definitely bonus right now!
Enjoy that pool. We always had one growing up in the 70s/80s.
Don't pull a TopGear...keep KittyVersa out of the pool!
Unfortunately, flooding is a concern now for the RedHill Expressway, as well as the CentennialPkwy/CNR underpass, and Grand River flooding in Caledonia, Cayuga, York and Dunnville.
These rarely happen, and are rarely news makers, but i can't be held back going to work etc, for just an above average puddle.
:frown:
I like a CAI too cuz they're relatively cheap and easy, and sound great, and get a couple HP.
I have a co-worker with an SRT4, CAI, exhaust, bigger turbo, lowered etc, but it can't [won't?] see rain, snow, or system of low pressure from the Arctic Circle.
I'm...just...jealous!

Were you in storm that rolled thru Thu night?
I assume you don't have your V.
I'd LOVE to see that touch screen carputer etc. :yesnod
What you have for rental? Thoughts?
My brother's fave rental is Impala/Monte for ride, mpg, comfort, decent handling.
Also Altimas for power/mpg blend.
Enjoy Ontario!

LOL! Ya I don't stay home either from snow or rain. I take the RedHill all the time to work, but if it's major flooding (due to poor design on their part), then there are tons of other ways for me to get down the mountain to work.

I'm not worried at all about it. My dad has on one his car (because my brother installed it when he used to drive it), and my dad drives that car hard into the ground. He's never even cleaned the filter, and yet his car is fine.

AEM is actually the only company that makes a "by-pass valve" for the cold-air intake. I'm not sure exactly what it looks like, but I'm pretty sure it's like a secondary filter. Anyways, you put it between your two pipes to catch any water that tries to get into your engine. I know you can order em from someplace like Super Auto Toyz or an after-market specialty store. I'm actually trying to see if they have on that will fit my Stillen CAI... but I'm waiting till rainy season :]

bypass valve works by letting AIR in through it if the filter is submerged in water. it would take a fairly deep puddle to submerge the filter. just be wary of where you drive when it is raining.

i don't have one on mine, and from what i have read, you will be replacing these very year, they dry up and crack, small price to pay for peace of mind, but they aren't cheap.

I'm surprised that the AEM intake didn't get rid of the black accordion piece of the intake(the part that has the return line to the crank case). Is that why it's CARB approved? I would also figure that the black rubber piece would disrupt the air coming in versus a smooth coupler. Any thoughts on this?
