AEM and speed sensor rb20 trans

so my brothers working on installing the AEM and was wondering about the function of the 2 wires from the speed sensor is it something like this> ok the AEM shows that it takes one wire in (also looks to be the same on the OEM diagram)and as for the other one, would that be some reference point or a ground, has any one else installed an AEM on there rbs?...................................................................................................................................................................................wow 2 days now, I finnaly stumpt ya he he
