So i finally got my car (95 Gtr)all set up on the new single setup and 3.5bar map sensor. The car runs freaking great driving around and under boost. Just got done setting up the aem boost control solenoid but we can not figure out why its not working! In the instructions it states PW2, Pin 5 and 25.. We pinned 5 on the ecu and hooked up the other wire from the solenoid to pin wire 25.

I dont know if any one else on here is running the AEM EMS V2 and has done this before and would like to share a little insight on if the wires from the solenoid are just pinned wrong because when you open up aem tuner and go to pw2 selection it does not give you a option for the boost control???

Any insight or help would be appreciated!

you may have to enable that pin as an output.

We looked at the pw2 output for it and they do not show the option for boost control. :gotme and I cant for the life of me find a solid wiring instructions for it. That is why i'm hoping some one on here might have come across this problem?

found your problem, both pins 5 and 25 are triggers for the solenoid, you need to power the solenoid and it is triggered thru those pins.
wiring them together will accomplish nothing, just a big loop lol.

also its not gonna be explicitly called 'boost control', its a pulse width output which means it has a duty cycle...gotta set the duty cycle to increase boost.

my advice: start low and work your way up, you may find you have to vary the duty cycle for it to hold consistent boost.
its much easier to start with a DC of say 10% and then find it only increases boost half a pound than to start with 50% and end up with 30psi into the motor untuned.

Sweet, that does make quite a bit more sense now that i think about it  I guess we will mess with it tomorrow and and see what we get, the only thing i'm questioning is the pw2 output setting? I guess we will put it to general since there is no "boost control" option as the output. Thanks again!

Ok, going to bump this. Finally got around to hooking it up to a switched 12 volt source, since my cars been at the body shop for the last couple months... Any ways, got it set up to where the key is in the on position with the engine off the solenoid doesn't make any noise you can set the pw2 output to different options and nothing changes. You can click the invert check box and hear the solenoid click back and forth as you check/uncheck the box.. But as soon as i start the car up the solenoid starts clicking fast... I know their has to be a way to get it to quit doing that and i dont understand why it would only do it while the engine is running? Any ideas? Zeroed out the whole table and it just keeps clicking and what ever option i choose on the pw2 output it doesn't stop or change..

you need to set when the solenoid is active...its proly active with no boost.

Ok but that is my problem. If you have aem tuner open it up and go to configure outputs and then pw2. Which selection would you choose ? Personally i think general purpose with enable pin and ignore switch input looks like my only option because it allows me to change the variable of when it sends a signal to the solenoid correct??

If you agree ill have to try it when i get out of work.

AEM told me that the PW2 supplies the 12v + so you need to wire the other to sensor ground. (this being the 30-6620 box)
