I was told that this would replace my MAF. I was just wondering if this was true.

yeah, it'll replace your maf, but only if you have an ecu that can read it...and you really only need a 1 or 2 bar...I think each bar is 20 psi of boost or something like that....

1 Bar of boost is 14.7 psi. Amosphere is also 14.7 psi, but thats static gravity. We always have 14.7 lbs pushing on us at all times. 1 bar of boost of boost or 14.7 psi of boost is actually close to 30 psi, but we don't count the ever present 14.7.

Back on topic, no a Map sensor of any type doesn't replace the MAF. I suppose it will once you convert you're engine management over to whatever standalone system uses speed density instead of mass air.

But by itself...no it does not.

I ended up getting the 3.5bar map sensor. I have the aem ems to go along with it. Thanks for the answer.
