I've finally got a set budget with my car for getting it back to dd status. The simple facts are that I can't have 2 cars and not work on both. Which brings me to my fork in the road.

Option A.) I can have a built tt motor and be stuck with running a na tune (will not be boosted yet)

Option B.) I can get a stock na motor back in and equipt the car with a car pc nistune and tuning support

Facts are the car must run and I only have so much money to through at it vs. Buying another car and losing interest.

Id say go with option A.. Sounds like the engine is already out so have it built.. Later in time its alot easier to get a proper tune.. Thats what i did on mine, just built my block and ran out of money so the stock turbos are goin back on.. Later i can upgrade and have it tuned

I agree with Bigred, option A would be best for several reasons. There is plenty of tweaking and such and small decisions to make once the engine is in and running correctly that can be fit in later with those later upgrades. And if it's anything like mine, there are other areas needing attention as well in a long term way such as connectors and engine monitoring/controlling devices that may or may not be up to the task of your new configuration such as IACV, fuel controllers, etc., not to mention brakes that most likely should be upgraded for the new power and your clutch and exhaust.
That and you mention Nistune, which no longer is a good tuning device and you will need to source a different ECU solution...plenty of things to drain your account and be decided upon in order to get a correctly running engine.

So with option A, a stock na tune shouldnt create any problems when i drop in a low compression motor while its back to dd status?

for my power goals i should be fine with an arp eagle wiseco build and headers. (my later plans are for a rear mount turbo for easier maintenance) i plan on running a precision 6262 sometime next year.
