Advise needed!

ok, here it is. I was recently re-ended by some guy who did not realize the light was red. Insurance is giving me a check for my car. I am going to get about 3,500$. I was looking at a 1991 300ZX with 139K for 3000$. My question; how long will this engine last? I know it depends on matience; the guy claims to have changed oil every 3000 miles. And he also has replaced alternater, radiator, fuel injection and spark plugs. He goes on to mention that the car has an idling problem due to vacuum leak; there is also a need for "new struts". I am not familer with Nissan's, I am also sorry to say that I used to drive a vw.

I am basicaly looking for anybody with some good helpful advise I need this car to last about 4-6 years, I am a college kid, so money is a definatly a problem, but I also DO NOT want another chick car.

I am kinda at a loose here. I have so little time to find a car, and I dont want to get another POS

Honestly, if you only have $3500 to work with, a Z32 is not the car for you. They're expensive to own and to insure.

Try looking into a 240sx.

you can get a dependable N/A in that price range, but nothing is cheap on these things, and unless you know when the timing belt was replaced plan on about $500 on the upside 139k is just broken in so long as the timing belt is kept up and the oil gets changed on a regular basis
