I am hoping someone can give me advice from their experiences with the 7speed Automatic Transmission in the M35's. I have a 2009 M35 with 90k miles. I bought it used and suspect the ATF has never been changed. I want this car to last to at least 200k miles. I know there is no manufacturer recommended service for the ATF on this transmission, but I have seen posts about changing it anyways. Has anyone changed theirs on their 7 speed AT and what was their outcome? Also should I get a basic drain and fill or a true fluid flush/exchange? Please help, I want to get my 90k service all done at one time. Thanks in advance for your responses!

Welcome to the forum!

If your car had 50-60k I might consider changing. But not with 90k. Most people say you shouldn't touch it once it's around 100k. You could get away with just doing a drain and fill, not a full flush. The reason is a flush will loosen stuff I guess which could harm your transmission.

Thank you so much for the advice. Anything else I can do to help the transmission last?

I love this forum, I have been reading since I bought my M35 about 2 months ago, I think I made it about 20 pages deep.

Not really...just make sure it's got enough fluid I guess. And you're welcome.
