I seem to have a problem of blowing out the rubber gasket on the Stock upper intake. Everytime I do the car gets a small misfire every now and again at idle.

I have used Hightack permetex to help keep it in place but it just keeps blowing out the side over time and leaking very very small amounts. There really is nothing on the intake to keep it from NOT blowing out.

Any Idea's of what I can do? Or does anyone else have this problem?

How much boost are you running and how the hell are you blowing that thing out? I havent had that problem @ 24psi

I have seen two styles of gasket, one was all rubber and just kind of floppy. The other type was metal with what was essentially O-rings which seemed superior to me.

I wonder if your not getting a high enough clamping load to keep everything tight, the bolts have some sort of weird shoulder washer on them right? Maybe stacking another thin washer will let you get them tighter.

I am running 14psi right now. It does it over time.

The gasket I have is the all rubber one. I seen cometic made one. I might give it a shot.

But I agree it does not have enough clamping force. I really dont like the design at all. But maybe I can get something to work.

It does have those spacers on it. Which actually stop the clamping force.

I am almost sure that those spacers actually are supposed to be thicker rubber that get pinched over time. I may still have that intake gasket that has the steel/rubber rings on it. If your interested in it email me and you can have it for shipping.
