eventually, everyone's still gonna tell you to get some coilovers240marcuSX wrote:Tell us what you want to use the car for, and we can recommend the best bang for the buck, and keep you from wasting money in the long run.
yeah... but you gotta understand, coilover pwn [/thread]96drifterx wrote:yea its a daily driver but i do like to get it sideways anything that would help with that, also i have friends who have replaced there springs and not shocks/struts and theirs didnt blow.
koni yellows or custom valved shock/struts with custom spring rates pwn too if you can't take advantage of the height adjustment on the coilovers. Or simply don't want the car lowered to much if it's a daily driver.adrians_s13 wrote:yeah... but you gotta understand, coilover pwn [/thread]
Yea if u not gonna get coilovers RSR's Race springs and konis or Tokicos. Tiens are cheaper, but RSRs are a bit better.gepeto wrote:Screw coilovers ! Get Konis with RS*R Race springs! I LOVE EM TO DEATH!
whats the difference between coilovers and shocks and spring? shocks and spring can have camber plate, and preload adjustment, coilovers with a threaded shock body really only offer the benifit of ride hight adjustment that is independant of travel. But if your really looking for that much ride hight adjustment chances are your going to low for the most benifit anyways.adrians_s13 wrote:yeah... but you gotta understand, coilover pwn [/thread]

Not to say coilovers are a bad idea, but If I were doing it again I would give heavy though to konis and RSR Race, because high spring rates and the ability to go really low isn't everything.
hey, i was looking at the RSR springs, and they have the RSR Race, and the RSR Drop springs. is either set clearly better than the other? i'm more interested in performance than looks, but i just wanted to see what you guys thought about the two sets.WI_S14_Goldie wrote: Yea if u not gonna get coilovers RSR's Race springs and konis or Tokicos. yeah, i can see the spring rates, i saw all the specs on their website as well. The problem is that i don't have much (any) experiece driving with different spring rates. I was hoping to get some input from you guys as to which one would be a better choice just from a handling and drivability perspective.Eddie wrote:Check the suspension faq, at the bottom there is a big list of springs and their spring rates.
awesome, thanks just the reply i was looking forRed coupe wrote:IMO (having only ever had stock, and KTS coils)I would go with the race springs...They will probaly feel pretty stiff, but shouldn't be too bad...
From what I see the down springs are just lowering springs, to give a meaner stance while the racing springs are higher rates for more preformance.
