2 Questions:
I have a 1999 Altima SE, 171,000 miles on it. I am replacing the radiator (crack in top tank near cap) and while the coolant is drained I will replace the 2 heater hoses going to and from the heater core. (The upper, lower and bypass hoses were replaced last year)

1st question: Is it is worth it or not to replace the smaller diameter coolant hoses as well? They are the original hoses and look and feel to be in decent shape but are very difficult to reach, especially when it comes to clamping the hose. There looks to be at least 3 of these things buried in and around the engine.

2nd question: I want to replace the transmission coolant lines that connect to the radiator. I can special order pre molded hoses but regular transmission hose from the auto store is much cheaper and will bend to the same degree that the original premolded hose does. Do I risk kinking a hose trying this method?

Thanks all for your input and help.
