Hey guys, I recently purchased a 89 coupe and would like some advice on upgrades. Like suspension and all that stuff. Oh and planning on racing it just so you know. Also I know not many people like the idea of american muscle but I am also planning on throwing an ls1 in it. Thanks

First I'm thinking suspension. Yes I know this is a big undertaking lol thanks. I'm looking for good suspension that I can use a dial to adjust. Not too familiar with brands and companies.

for adjustable coilovers, I know for my 97 are between 1000 to 2000 depending on brand. depending on how hardcore you want to get with it, mine I just have koni struts and eibach springs and the suspension was already pretty tight to begin with. and I hope to god youve priced an ls1 swap and how involved it is. some can run up to 10k from what I understand.

i'd work on suspension and brakes first....research on the many many options on swaps and think of the ultimate goal...track, show, daily, sell later on, etc...it's an endless money pit and worse when spent replacing new parts

Wow, thanks so much for the help guys. Yea so my plain is to get the 300zx brake upgrade and some adjustable suspension coil overs first. Yes LS1 swaps can run that high but if you know the right people (mechanic's, fabricator's ect..) It's not even close to 10k
