Hi,

Anyone have any suggestions for or good experiences with a specific Warranty Company, including Nissan? Or for that matter any bad experiences with a company?

thanks a lot! J.

Unless you have a reason to believe you need one, don't purchase one. Instead put the same money in the bank and allow it to pay you. When selling the car allow the money saved to apply to the new car.

Did you buy your car new/used, what year and mileage.

I purchased my coupe used with 44K on it, so I got a 3 year 36K NISSAN warranty thru my local nissan dealer. Internet price was $1,600, I purchased it for $1,100.Anyway, recently had the seat motor and AC compressor replaced under warranty. They tell me that both would have been around $1,500 for parts alone. With that said, I also enjoy working on my own cars. Could have replaced both, but am enjoying the extended warranty!!!

Depending on your situation, I would only consider a NISSAN or INFINITI backed extended warranty. Have seen those other companies go out of business leaving their customers Actually, one of them was my neighbor.

Hope that helps!

Tampa reminded me that an extended warranty would be a good selling point! That is if you are going to sell before it is up. Would probably bring more $$$ and sell quicker.

just as SVTcobra mentioned, it depends on a couple of factors such as was the care purchased new or used, and have you (or previous owner) experience any problems?

me personally, I only buy CPO cars, so that extra warranty acts as a piece of mind when buying used.

Just remember than on average an warranty will not work to your advantage, the company will come out ahead. What it will do for you is maybe give you a little piece of mind. You will usually be far better off simply banking the money as long as you are the type to be able to leave it alone or you have a rainy day fund for emergencies.
