Just make sure you verify what is covered in the CPO warranty. I believe this is just a powertrain warranty. The CPO wrap is the one that covers most bumper to bumper, but the price is around $1200+ if buying it from the dealership, that is still not comparable to the stand alone Elite Warranty that you can buy from Courtney in Arizona.
Courtney explained to me that it is not worth buying a CPO or CPO wrap warranty if the car is a year old. The coverage basically starts on the intitial date the car was sold. So you basically loosing 3 years coverage if the car is 2 or 3 years old. She advised to just buy the car without CPO and pay to have Infiniti inspect the car (certify) and pay $120. Buy a warranty from Courtney for a full bumper to bumper coverage. The CPO wrap does not cover all like the Elite warranty that Courtney offers. If you are in USA I will go with Courtney if you decided to have full coverage.
Here is the email I sent to her with her response:

The car does NOT have to be CPO, so you definitely do not have to pay the $899 for CPO...if you do not buy the car from an Infiniti dealer than you have to take it to an Infiniti dealer and pay the $120 to inspect the car for neglect of maintenance and pre-existing issues...the inspection is attached...CPO and Wrap back date to in-service date so you are losing over three years of the coverage, so you are really only adding 3 or 4 yrs if you went with 84mo or 96mo Wrap, plus you would be paying for the CPO $899 and the Wrap, so its usually more expensive and less coverage...I only advise for CPO&Wrap if the car is only one year old otherwise its best just to save the $899 CPO and go with the Elite Protection Plan on its own...
Based off your current mileage these are your options for extending your factory coverage...
2012 G37x w/ 25,000 miles (price and term will change once you exceed 30k).
$100 Ded
36mo/36k=$550
36mo/48k=$660
48mo/48k=$810
48mo/60k=$1010
60mo/60k=$1250
60mo/70k=$1390
72mo/82k=$1460

YES this is the factory warranty and NOT 3rd party!! The Infiniti Elite Protection Plan will start the day you purchase it and the mileage allowance will be added to what is currently on your odometer. The deductible is per visit not per item repaired. The car must be under the original warranty and Infiniti requires a "Pre-Purchase" FULL inspection at an Infiniti dealer prior to issuing the policy (not a basic Multi-Point inspection). Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the Infiniti Elite Protection Plan. Thanks again and have a great day.

Courtney,
Could you give me a quote for 2012 G37x sedan with 25k miles on it with 0 deductible?
84/100k and 96/120K. This is a used G37x and I am thinking if I buy this i will buy the warranty from you. The dealer is telling me that if they certified the car , it is an extra $900. Which only covers powertrain for 60/100k miles. Is this true? I told them I want a CPO Wrap like the elite.
If I buy the car non CPO, do I still have to have them inspect it and pay $120? According to Carfax, car was checked already prior to delivery to them.
Thanks!
