Hello..I'm new!, Heh, and have got a question..

In my never ending search for an S13, I stumbled up on a '91 240SX with super-HICAS, and, shockingly enough, a 5 Speed. I found it in the Mid-Virgininia Trading Post for all you VA boys.

Now, the "deal" with this 240 is that it's got 197,000 miles on it and he want's 2500..But, he says he's negotiable. What do you guys think I should do?Because there's a 3000$ FC in the Autotrader out here with less miles, most likely. Don't get me wrong though..I adore 240s.

Hmm, RX7 might be a little faster.

My little drama is that how can I possibly sell a car with say, 270,000 miles when I have to get something new? This one has been for sale for so long and it only has 197,000!

well an FD is alot of work, u will have to rebuild the motor quite often.. from what i have seen they are nothing but work, the nissan will last alot longer.. and u can always pick up a KA motor in the junk yard for around 400$ and just swap them, its not that much work.. my friend has swaped out 3 KA's in and out of his car and he is only 16... so it not too hard :)

Your not really buying a car wih high resale to start with. A N/A FC has piss poor resale as well. Both cars are over a decade old. Gotta consider what you are buying to begin with.

Yeah, when you've only got about 3800 to spend, you're pretty much limited on cars that will resale well..Ah, I bet if I had 1850 cash in hand, I'd drive it home. I'd have a good 1650 to spend on stuff to keep it running or to get a new motor..or rebuild it. Then again, the KA24 is supposedly bullet-proof. We'll see how it goes.

Bulletproof but it's the damn timing chain that gets ya. =\But if you're handy with a wrench, shouldn't be much of a prob to replace it...Good luck. :)

BTW: Found any non-special edition 91-93 5spd S13s in the VA area for <2500? I'm also in the market but I'm not about to jack your find. :)

Speaking of the Timing Chain, the guy did say he replace the "Timing Belt", I just assumed he has no idea that the KA uses a chain...

As for your 91-93 S13,Best I could do was a 1992 Coupe 5 Speed with 135,000 Mi.13 Miles from me (23229)

The Coupe

More Pics

I know some Middle Eastern guy owns it, because I called him already when I didn't know it was a Coupe.

And, by the way, if you run across a good deal from "Select Auto Imports"..It's got to be too good to be true, for an automatic 92 240SX with 136,000 he wants close to 4300, and I've seen it, it's not all that beautiful for 4300.

anybody who pays 4300 for a 92 240sx need their head checked. Whats wrong with the coupe? Any particular reason why you want a ca over an sr? Sorry I'm in a question mood I do suppose.

The same reason you'd go SR over KA-T...'cuz you wanna. But seriously, the CA has an immensely strong iron block, better revving capability than the SR and can be had very cheap. Not to mention that everyone nad their mother has an SR (although I definitely wouldn't mind having one), so the somewhat slightly different approach of a CA can be appealing to some...

P.S.- Those links don't work for me. *cry*

Edit: I speel gude.

Try this

and, for much cheaper...Another Coupe I think that one is in Maryland though, could be wrong.

Ehh, I don't like how the Coupe looks, I think they all scream front end conversion...

And, the CA is a little more appealing to some, as Seva said. It's ultra-appealing to me. Stands out in the sea of SR swaps. Of course, If a SR20 was on my doorstep when I woke up, of course I'd take it...

I also forgot to mention, the 240, that I haven't called yet..., hasn't even had a new clutch put in it...Is that even CLOSE to normal? 197,000 and no new clutch..
