I recently bought a '13 wrx and had a clear bra installed by a shop that had good references. I went with a pre-cut film that covered the bumper, mirrors and 20" up the hood+fender. Well the installer that worked on my car screwed up. It seems the car wasn't prepped well, so there was alot of lifting on the edges and air/water bubbles. The edges were touched up except one area was not fixable. Currently, most of the bubbles have gone away, but a few small ones remain. Still some noticeable lifting on a few edges. Now the one thing that really got me upset is that I noticed razor blade marks on my bumper near the edges of the clear bra  I spoke to the owner yesterday and showed him the mess. He agreed to have the entire front bumper repainted.

One thing that concerns me is that this is a new car, so I am worried about getting the color to match when the bumper is repainted. A few years ago I had some damage repaired to the bumper of my 93 240sx and the paint difference is noticeable depending on the lighting. Also, we will have Finish Line Painting in San Jose do the work. Anybody heard of them or the owner Glen?

Well this gives me an excuse to drive my 240 more or I can take up the owner on his offer for a rental car.

Another thing is that I will have to wait 30 days before they can reinstall the clear bra due to the new paint. Although the owner has assured me that the next install job will be better, I've honestly lost confidence in this shop despite their references. As insurance, I received a partial refund for the cost of the bumper clear bra.

I'm surprised the shop was so willing to admit their error and correct it for you, including a repaint and rental car.

Yea I was somewhat caught off guard by the owner being so forthcoming with offering a refund, repaint, and rental car. Well it has been a week and I have not gotten a phone call from the owner about scheduling this work. Actually, it was a pain getting a hold of him the first time to take a look at the damage.

I'll re-upload the pics when I get ahold of a better camera.
