Thinking about selling my spec v and stepping up to something nicer, probably a 05+ Z and it would be my daily driver. I've always wanted one since they first came out, are the pretty reliable? Is the car easy to work on? are parts/repairs pricey? My spec has been solid and very easy to work on so I'd like to stay in the nissan family

I love that white color

I had one salesman tell me if I want to buy one I better do it soon b/c the new 370s are actually driving up the price of used 350z, that doesn't make any sense to me is this guy just giving me a load of BS?

By no means am I an expert, but it would make more sence if the price on the 350z went down a bit or stayed relatively the same. I think everyone is gonna want the new 370

The prices in my area have actually gone up a bit. Enough so that I could sell my car for what I owe on it now lol. I bought it for $18k used and like 3 months later they were down to $14k. Now they are back up around $18k. Could be because of the new 370z, prices go up for those that can't afford the 370z. Although my bet is, its getting to be summer and everyone is going to start looking for a nice sports car to drive around.

Thanks man! I really like the white too. It might be true to some extent, but I m sure that the salesman is shootin you mostly BS! Thats what their know for. When I got mine about a year and half ago the local dealership said their was no way that I would get any 350 for 21k, but I guess I proved them wrong. I loved going in their the first time after I got it and rubbing it in their face. I would def recomend buying one from a private seller! My sale could not have gone any smoother. Good luck man!

Its like that with most cars. They went down and then bounced back a little. In my area I noticed it with M3s, Corvetts, 350z, and 540. My 350z has been very reliable. Got the car with 24k miles and it now has 34. Haven't had one problem.

You will know for sure when you find the right one. When I got my 03 it only had 5800 miles on it and everything was perfect! It was the guys weekend car and drove his company car. You should try and find one like mine that never got driven.

Alignment, power window lube trails, rear axle clunking for the 03-04. Luckily, I got none of them. Or perhaps the previous owner took care of it.

Yes but if you get one that was babied like mine, than the previous owner did evrything to correct it. So just be careful and do some research. My allignemt problem, and fuel hose recall were replaced under warranty. Luckily I havent had any trans problems, so hopefully I got lucky and mine dosent have that probem.

That's another one: transmission problems on the first gen 350's...Best one's to get are the HR's. Most, if not all problems were already weeded out by the last gen.

It's a simple part in the transmission, with minor changes that makes a big difference...

Revisions 000 through 004:1st: double synchro cones2nd: double synchro cones3rd: single synchro cones4th: single synchro cones5th: single synchro cones6th: single synchro cones

Revision 005 through 008:1st: double synchro cones"]2nd: triple synchro cones3rd: double synchro cones4th: double synchro cones5th: single synchro cones6th: single synchro cones

Revision 0091st: triple synchro cones2nd: triple synchro cones3rd: triple synchro cones4th: double synchro cones5th: single synchro cones6th: single synchro cones

To say that the transmission is weak is false advertising. The gears are thick and comparable to GETRAG. Means very very STRONG!! Just has a few weak links that needs to me massaged, (synchros)

In Dallas the prices of the 350's have come down some due to many new 2007 and 2008 350's still on the lots at huge discounts. It should stabilize once they inventory is sold.

2004.5 is a good year, but some of the rev-up motors (05 & 06) had oil consumption problems.
