The car has high miles for its year, as It's been my company car since I bought it (83,500 miles to be exact). Even considering the high miles, NADA and KBB still have pretty respectable values for the car. NADA lists its retail at $11,975, while KBB lists it at $10,680. I was pretty happy to find the values listed so high but I know that a major hurdle in trying to sell the car is going to be the milage.
I know that the car will sell itself if potential buyers' minds can be set at ease about the miles, as the car is still totally cherry. I've religiously maintained it, both mechanically and looks-wise, but I've had concerns that people will write it off without even giving it a second thought when they see how many miles are on it. So the advice I need is this, anyone have any experience, hints or insights into how to get what the car is really worth? I had planned to place sale adds in the normal places, excluding milage in the description so that I could explain the milage to people over the phone when they inquire about the car. I'd also planned on having a pre-purchase inspection done on it (I still have the original from when I bought the car myself) for buyers to compare - to show anyone interested that the car is still in great condition, without them having to go through the expense themselves. Anyone have any other thoughts to add? Would be greatly appreciated
