hello all. i am new to the forum and looking to purchase a vert in the LA area.

firstly, does anyone know of any available? i would definitely prefer to buy from a member of the forum.

secondly, can anyone speak about the general reliability of the car and any issues i should be aware of? also, could anyone recommend a good mechanic in the LA area to take potential cars to for inspection (i really do not yet feel knowledgeable enough to make the call myself)?

thank you all and happy postings.

Keep in mind it's just an S13 coupe without a roof.

Areas to look for:

Interiors are the best indicator of how well an S13 vert has been cared for. The ASC panels and trim are poor quality and if the car has not been garaged, it will show.

Make sure the top raises and lowers, anything beyond that we can help you fix.

An absolute GEM is only worth $3500 - $4000 (low mileage, perfect condition). Most I have seen are worth no more than $1500 - $2000.

If you find one, shoot us some pics and info so we can help determine its true value. Verts tnd to be a financial liability, especially if there's something wrong with the top motor/mechanism. All else can be replaced relatively cheaply.
