Hi guys,I'm thinking of buying 92 gts-t with 100,000km on it for about 6,000$. Is it realistic to buy gts-t at an acceptable condition at that price or is it just a scam?Is there any common problems with rb20 engines? And how much should I be realistically thinking of spending to maintain it at drivable condition? Also, I am wondering about where to get parts such as brakes, oil filters, shocks and such for regular maintenance and how much do they cost?

I am also wondering about mechanics who you might know in GTA who know about r32s and don't charge an unreasonable price for labor?I earn around 36-40k a year and just not sure if I am really inviting problems into my wallet? I really want a skyline but dont want to fanatically spend money on it just to keep it running? All in all, I guess the question is how practical are these cars considering that I drive normally and perform regular maintenance?PS: I own a 97 altima and it has 250k and it works just fine, would a skyline like the one I mentioned be any better than my junk?

first where you located at? and mine has more than that and it works great, all depends if you take care of the car. it shouldn't give you any trouble as long as the previous owner took care of it. for the parts dont worry about it since on ebay theres a lot of seller that have skyline parts.. and the price is not BAD . so if i were you i would buy it. and if you need any help on any thing just pm me ,

thank you for your support and help EL MAMITO. I am located in Toronto, Canada. Here's a link to the site where some really nicely priced r32s located http://www.jdmtigerjapanese.co...k7ac5or click on the root url and follow to jdm vehicles. Some of their cars just look to be in good condition. And I've seen some of the engine pics which is just unbelievable to be in almost 15 years. I took care of all my cars and am not a racer. I just never had any experience with turboed cars and since I don't have my own garage yet, I dont want to be scammed by so called professionals who would charge me a hefty fee for just owning one of these imports. Thank you again.

One thing you may need to be careful of is if the car is even in North America.

I wouldn't commit to anything unless you can see the car in person. That $6000 price could be just the car, and it's still sitting in Japan, and they will try to make you pay the rest of the fees to get it registerd.

Food for though.

It's true. I've heard a lot of stories about this. I am planning to visit this place real soon. But before that, I really need to commit myself to the thought that buying a used skyline could make me happy and not make another hole in my pocket That's why I would like to hear some opinions (good or bad) about these imports.
