17" wheels from G35 with almost brand new Kumhos. 235-50-17 rears, and 225-50-17 fronts, mounted, and balanced perfect. all you have to do is bolt them on.

The above ad in a local Craigs List listing.

Not a fan of Kimhos, having Michelin on all but one of my too many vehicles, recently fitting a set of Exalto 225s onto the M30 convertible and it drives like a dream! Have 235 Pilots on my Q, but they will soon need replaced. The Fittipauldi wheels are showing their age, too, although I have been told by my mechanic they are some of the truest wheels he has ever worked with! The G35 wheels would give me more options than having to stay w/ the 225 Exaltos to replace the Pilots....right??????

What do you folks think of the above deal? The pix of the wheels looks like they are not sufferring too much curb rash. Seems like an excellent price, even if it were for the wheels aone (which the guy does not want to seperate)????

And, a Happy & HEALTHY New Year to all!

John

Without a price, can't comment.

But Kumho makes a decent tire.

HEY HEATH!

If you are still the resident SC real estate expert, I need some help in selling two (2) homes, here in the low country! (A VERY used 90 Q45 maroon parts car goes w/ the purchase of the plantation!) Have tried and tried, but NOT A SINGLE OFFER, and - per the agent - fairly priced, but too many short sales and foreclosures! Same goes for NM property, it also on the market, but no one even looking any more, Calif and Arizona folks once the main buyers out there, but they are hurting bad, too! I might treat myself to a new Nissan product if I could ever sell any homes! Oh Well! Lots worse things happening to folks and the Q-ship still manages to impress!John

$400 is a fair price but you should be able to get them a bit cheaper with a little negotiating. I've bought 2 sets of G35 wheels for my Q's and paid $300/$350 for the sets with 2 good tires and 2 worn tires both times. I have Michelin MXM4 235/50-17 on the rear and Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 225/50-17 on the front. Both are excellent tires. There won't be any rubbing unless your rear shocks are flat.

Even in these sizes IIRC there's only a couple of Michelin that have the correct load rating.

Expert is a relative term... This market has made anyone with a broker's license or anyone who was willing to invest a little cash look like a genius - to one that makes everyone look like a fool. Best advice I can give you is to either hold on tight and hope things get better - or jump a little ahead of the pricing curve. By jumping ahead, If you have a property that you think is realistically worth $400K today, but you think the price will continue to decline, go ahead and list it at $385K now to get ahead of the curve.

Easier said than done... I have one "investment" property hanging around my neck that I haven't been able to unload since it hit the market in May of 2008!

I know we are "off topic" here, Heath, but maybe our exchange will help some other folks!

I have had all 3 properties on the market, off & on, since 2007, FSBO & MLS w/ not a single offer, and viewings able to be counted on my fingers! I just wonder where the "good old days" went where you would make/get a low ball offer, then counter each other til you made a deal, or walked! The appraisals done a couple of years ago are - essentially - worthless
going forward and the few comps available are predicated upon short salels, or foreclosures! Not a level playing field IMO!

Take care & drive safely up north in Columbia! Freezing rain down here on the coast yesterday! Bridges - our only hills - closed down, so things a royal PITA!

The falling property prices have locked many into their existing homes. Even those with 20% downstroke when they purchased are now underwater. They can't even refinance to take advantage of the lower interest rates.

Even those with cash and an appetite to upscale are now locked into their existing property because there are no buyers.

It'll take a long time for this market to thaw.
