My salesman just called and told me my car is in! 4 days early!!! I'm going to go pick it up in a couple hours and I'm wondering, in the meantime, if any of you guys have any advice for things to keep in mind while taking delivery. Thanks!

Give your car a thorough once over and take your time. You can easily skip over some obvious things just because you're excited. First thing that comes to mind is check the passenger airbag cover to make sure it's secure. A lot of people have been complaining that this little piece is popped up.

and check to make sure the door mounts for your mirrors are flush with the bottoms of the mirrors, no dents. Dents here can cause obnoxious wind noise at high speed.

check your jack to make sure it's secured tightly, another obnoxious noise.

You probalby already have your Versa by now but, make sure that there are no dark greasy spots alover the inside, my car and I think a few others had this problem. especially the cargo area including the inside of the hatch.

I am wondering what would make you think a brand new car that was railed (not shipped) to its port of destination would have any sort of rust problem, besides on the brakes...

I'll just say again what everyone has been, check your car, ALL OF IT.

After I got mine home I noticed a bunch of little dents in the hatch that I missed before I left the lot. So just make sure you look it over inch by inch

Trust me, look it over.. I bought a new Range Rover some years back, and got a HUGE discount because it had a tiny spot of rust on the exhaust. :-)

My V was kept out of sight until I had signed all the papers. Then I found out why, the interior was charcoal not the beige I wanted.Bit sneaky. Still given the available inventory 3 months ago I'm not furious. But they could have come clean and told me. Maybe they worried I might back out.

When I picked up mine back in November they wanted me to sign all the papers before seeing the car too. It was the first time I'd been through this process but that seemed very odd to me. So I insisted on seeing car before I signed anything..... I was worried about exactly what you've described.... sneaky for sure.

Thanks everyone, we found a little scratch on the side and they buffed it out for us. Other than that, the car looks great.
