Advice Buying a Used QX56

So, after owning a J30, QX4, Q45 and another QX4 I'm thinking of buying a QX56. I was originally looking for somthing smaller, but after my wife talked me into an Expedition I figured price and MPG were out, so I should look at the QX56 again. Any advice on buying them? I'll get a used one. What should I be scared of?

I prefer the 2008+ interior over the previous years as the dash and door panel styling changed. The 2007+ will have the larger rotors (fixing the early rotor warping early models saw). Otherwise nothing special to look at other than the usual maintenance items with a used vehicle.

I just drove a 2004 that I liked pretty well, it was in my price range too. You mentioned problems with rotors? Can you eloborate? That's exactly the type of thing that I'm interested in hearing about.

Oh, it has 108k miles.

Not as active in the 56 forum as the Q45 column. Does anyone know what the 90k service consists of? Found records and there hasn't been any dealer service since 70k and no major service since 45k. Probably needs a good refresh of all filters and fluids, plugs, etc. I tried to download the FSM from nicoclub/fsm but they appear corrupted.

Watch out for brake and rattle issues on '04 and '05 models. '08 and newer had a much improved interior with the addition of 20" rims.

the newer models also had the keyless start I think. My 06 still has the key.
Our 06 M has the keyless start and I love not having to take the key out of your pocket.

08+ has the I-key option (keyless start)

If you can, go for an '08 or newer, much nicer vehicle! Even go to an Armada if you can go '08 or newer, you will love it! An '08 Armada is much nicer than any '04-'07 QX56!!!!!
