I have a 90 Nissan 240sx all original.
The timing chain was rattling for a few months, then the car would no longer run.
I did a compression test, 0 psi per cylinder, so I replaced the timing chain, sprockets, tensioner, etc. Work performed all according to the 1990 NISSAN PUBLISHED SERVICE MANUAL. Not Chlton, not Haynes, not Motor,{or any other that are allways totally incorrect}.
The chain, sprockets, and distributor are all lined up correctly no question.
Car will not start, so I did another compression test. Now after a new timing chain, I get exactly 60 psi per cylinder.
Vehicle has never, ever overheated since new.
What's wrong and how do I fix it?
Thanks, al Pic
