I just got a new megan mani and o2 housing and the housing isn't divided but my current one is. I am sending one set out for swain coating(mani and o2 housing). Which do I send, the divided or the megan housing. I sand blasted my old parts and found a 1.5" crack in my o2 housing and tigged it up. Here is a pic........

The divider might keep the two exhaust flows from crashing into each other and eliminate a little turbulence, maybe increase scavenging a little, but I don't think it will be enough of a gain to really notice.

It's not going to make much of a difference. Some even argue that it can be detrimental; the divider plate won't completely separate the exhaust and wastegate flow since it doesn't connect to the turbo, and can create a pressure differential. The only way to ensure that they get separated completely would be to weld the O2 housing onto the turbo and weld the divider between the wastegate and turbine discharge, which would hardly be worth the trouble.

i would say divided because my megan turbo elbow doesnt have it and you can hear it in the exhaust sometimes, the turbulence gives it a raspy tone.

Are you sure that's what you're hearing? =P
