what is the advantage of installing the tomei solid pivot (lifter) system over the stock one? is it worth the money? would it be recommended for a high 10sec buildup? what exactly does it change and how does it work? Difficulty to install this system?

PS. i have a blacktop s13 motor

I'd love to answer your questions but I'm not too confident in what I know about the topic.

the tomei solid pivot changes the lifters from hyrdaulic to mehcnical. mechanical lifters are more reliable for high rpm operation and usually stronger but they are high maintainance ie: keeping valve lash clearences within specs. hydraulic lifters are like the ronco rotisserie. set it and forget it, they adjust themselves.
