my local dealership has an "Advantage engineering flush system", the company name is Advantage Engineering. Was wondering if this machine is comparable to the Envirotech, BG, etc. looks like the same setup. heated flush solution is pumped in, circulated, etc. they charge around $140 i think. just wanted to know if anyone had any experience, or heard about this flush system and if it's worth doing.thanksjeff

That sounds a bit pricey to me.. Mine was $80 when I took it in....

Personally, i wouldnt do it, it did nothing for me. I was told that it was going to remove ALL varnish and sludge, and I didnt notice ANY difference AT ALL!

Im sure they're all about the same, but personally I wouldnt waste the money. Dennis has said many times that you cant get rid of all that abuse in one time. I can attest to this.

Not to mention, if your engine is low on sludge you dont need any cleanup, maybe just the ATF trick before an oil change.

is there any way to tell how sludged up your engine may be without ripping it apart???? just by looking in the oil fill cap, the internal metals look relatively clean, with no sludge in the cap. is there any other way,,,,$100+ is kinda pricey if the atf pre change, or the sea-foam, or bg quick clean is just as good..........thanksps---wes,,,,how can you tell no difference??

If you look REALLY REALLY CLOSE, you can see the heads from the oil filler cap. You gotta look at an angle and you have to use a flashlight...

If anything I was expecting the immediate area around the filler cap to be MUCH cleaner, and there was NO difference... I made a mental image on how it looked, and I didnt notice ANY difference..... NONE!!!

I think your ATF trick/seafoam is your best bet IMO. Cheaper and more effective.

i'm in your boat wes,,,hard to take it easy on the Q with the sea-foam floating around in there for a few days!!!!! LOL anyone use bg quick clean. if i remember correctly, you do a complete change, pour in the "bg quick clean", let circulate for 15 minutes, then dump out and do another full change. labor intensive, but is this better than the other methods mentioned??? i think dennis has written about this.

I like the ATF trick/seafoam better personally... Add the seafoam (or MMO) in a few days in advance, and then add the ATF an hour or so in advance (either idle or GENTLE driving)......

No no no.

The flush doesnt do anything up high in the engine covers the lower galleryes. The places u cant get to when u do a cleanout manual under valve cover.

I am sure it did good to the engine. It is much superior to the otehr methods we use.

Fred...:)

Maybe I should have said any noticeable difference (w/o disassembly)......

I guess a manual clean of the heads would be best...
