Will the KA24E make more power by simply increasing timing and and running higher octane fuel to prevent detonation? In theory it seems like it should. If so how many degrees of timing is safe for 93 octane? Thanks.

When I advanced the timing on my ka24e, it was almost all the way clockwise already, I turned it the rest of the way. It gained about 3 lb. ft. and revs more freely to redline. I didn't use a timing light, but I listened carefully afterwards. Its been a month and no problems, I run 91 to 93 octane.

hmmmmmm. Im looking for about 8-10 HP here. I dont know if ide bother if i can only get 3 ft/lbs. I'll try it out with a timing light and just keep going till it deonates. lol.
