i have advanced my timing almost full. just to make sure when rotating the distributor clockwise it should advanced the ingnition which should incress cylinder pressure ?? i did it so far and seem to have helped out in mid to high rpms . anyone know the best position for it to be in or should i just play with it? i know that the c/p the hard on sum internal parts like chrank, rods, bearings and so on, but is it really that bad the engine has 145,000 miles on her. what else can i do to get more cylinder pressure ?

you definitely do not want to advance it all the way... at that point it would not be benefiting you nor the car.. usually just a tad bit maybe one or two degrees would benefit if your running on premium gas... but never max advance

you should get a timing light and check what you have it at now. when you hear something similar to an empty coke can getting shot by bb's you advanced it to much

Just put it back at stock. The tinyyyy power increase you got isnt worth the serious risk of blowing your motor that you take when you advance your base timing.
