advanced timing on my s14 ka24?

i have advanced my timing almost full. just to make sure when rotating the distributor clockwise it should advanced the ingnition which should incress cylinder pressure ?? i did it so far and seem to have helped out in mid to high rpms . anyone know the best position for it to be in or should i just play with it? i know that the c/p the hard on sum internal parts like chrank, rods, bearings and so on, but is it really that bad the engine has 145,000 miles on her.

it is good especially if you can add more fuel (safc or something) or it was with my build at least. I say go for it its a ka they can take an abuse and if by some chance you pop it they re good and cheap.
