Aight, here's the story. I pulled my motor to re-seal everything and swap my head gasket. I've got stock s13 cams and no altercations done to my timing.

I put my motor all back together and put it in. Installed everythign and got her to fire up. I tried to set timing but in order for my timing to be at 20* i have to have the dizzy clocked all the way to one side.

So i figured, my timing has skipped some how and i was off a tooth. Well i pulled my oil pan, front cover, etc and re-set all my timing. I made marks as to where everything needed to line up somewhere on the front of the motor. All the chains and everything lined up.

Put it all back together... Same problem'So i pulled off my upper front cover and valve cover. Set the motor to 20* and my marks all line up again. I've taken pictures so maybe someone can notice something im' not. I'm not retardeed and i'm pretty damn good w/ cars but this has got my completly f'd up. I'm trying to make a drift day this weekend so i'm trying to get this done. I just boosted my motor and i've yet to drive it around and it's killling me lol.

My set-up

jgs kitEnthalpy tuned for 740's, z32, t3, my built block and 93octaneSAFC but everything is zero'd outBlow thru z32.

No codes in the ECU. I've taken the dizzy out and re-installed it 20 times. I even installed it w/ the valve cover off to make sure the line/dot line up. And same problem

Here are the pix

PLEASE HELP ME!!!! hah

i belive your crank pully's last notch is where you line it up, not where you have it in the pic. after that everything else looks right and your dizzy should be perfect if you guide it in with the notch on top of the dizzy. of course you can always tell by the angle of the rotor cap, it should be facing directly at your number 1 on your dist cap....everything has grooves its pretty straight forward.

Yes, i unplugged it, warmed it up the whole 9. I'm not new to 240's and i know my s***. This just has me completly f'd up cause everything is how it should be.

And as far as i know, it's gotta be set to 20* btdc which is the 2nd to left mark

Well you set the motor @ 0 degrees, and make sure the intake valves are next to open. The line up dizzy to #1. Should be close to correct timing (I was dead on 20btdc) after you start it then use a timing light.

ha its all good bro, its still semi fresh in memory from when i had to redo 3 ka's and by the 3rd time i didnt even bother making any timing marks, its easier just to find the last notch and slide the dizzy in with the right mark on top. cake work in the end. hope it helps out, your diz should be straight in the center and you should be good to go.

U dont understand lol. I built my motor when i was 16 w/ no experience. I'm now 21 and i've ripped my motor apart numerous times. I'm a tech for Mercedes Benz. How the hell do i make such a stupid mistake and it took me 3 weeks to realize it!!!
