Yeah they have been around awhile and are a pretty good company. They are a good mid-grade wheel. Similar to companies like Enkei and Konig.

here's a pix of an ADR wheel that scared the crap out of me about buying cast wheels. But then again, it's really up to your luck and the mercy of the pot holes

ADR's are very cheap and very forcefully sold on EBay, which makes me uneasy about them.

Also check out Craigslist. They are sold there more frequently, and for less money, than any other brand.

I think it's safer to go with brands that also have racing-series (expensive) wheels, like Enkei. Just my 2 cents though

Yea i agree. I wouldn't trust ADR's just from horror stories i have seen/read. My buddy cracked his right front ADR's on his jetta twice

On a business aspect, I used to deal with ADR (Golden Apple) from 1999 till about 2005ish. Basically their company has ridiculously gone downhill due to bad management as well as bad business. Now they're desperately trying to sell their wheels basically to anyone that will buy them.

DON'T DO IT!!!

When I used to manage a shop, I stopped purchasing ADR wheels because they changed manufacturing factories and the quality when to s**t; bad casting (air holes in the wheels), very poor durability (wheels literally splitting in half after hitting a "minor" pothole), and the horror stories would go on and on.

There are so many other brands and choices, but don't make ADR, RS Wheels, or Stern one of them (all Golden Apple brands)

I had ADR wheels back in 2000 and they were pretty nice for what I paid and I never had a problem with them. There are a lot of good cast aluminum wheels out there, so just pick another manufacturer. Make that a manufacturer with a good reputation.

I think that truck had to be too heavy... i mean, wouldnt there be some damage to the wheel other than the center snapping out? I bought them on my amex.. if they dont hold up, amex warranty baby... well atleast for a yr... i got em dirt cheap (650 for 4 20"s delivered to NY)... and i like the design... come on guys.. im the deal dude.. did you think i was gonna spend $1500 on wheels?

good rims also look into the stern they are both made by the same company. good prices too. oh zenki07 is right they did change over sea producers, but my boy works at golden apple which is up here in the bay area. hes in the shipping and receiving and he says that they have had less warranty returns from there vendors since they increased there wheel stress stanards
