IvoryJ30t, you are the man! Cool info. And btw, I think I have seen that sort of schematic on some Aussie websites. iirc, the wideband schematics at the TechEdge.com.au have some wierd resistor notation.

Has anyone checked the RB address files to see if they are the same or similar to the Z32 address files?

Personally, I plan to build a wideband controller for the new $30 Bosch wideband sensor before I start playing with ROM.

i have not checked out similarities, but i have both versions of address files if you need.

i havent had alot of time lately [rb's arent cheap, hence not much free time]

im gonna look over the schematic you posted, and see if i can find any others. once i see one that looks the most complete, ill lay out a trace and cut a pcb.

i wanna find the most complete one because im new to programming and microcontrollers. ive neglected PIC's, microcontrollers and the like so now its time to get that down.

ive never had a need to use them, so now its time to learn something new. you would have thought that with all the electrical, electronics, and computer crap i would have gone into that stuff, but ive negelected programming. im trying to teach myself C++, but i just dont have the time between everything to really give it a shot.

i can lay out the circuits, cut the boards, ect ect... but i dont know how to write code, so i cant burn my own PIC's ect...

thats one thing im kinda kicking myself for. i have these ideas for projects, but i cant do most of them without being able to write code. thats something i should have done before i left high school.

i had a wideband schematic, but i lost it last time i recklessly formatted my harddrive. i think it was for a UEGO sensor, so it probably wasnt compatible anyway unless the bosch sensor is.

$30 is great for a sensor. if you have a schematic for the controller, ill put one together when i can. i can calibrate it and everything also, i have a 4MHz Oscope. since i can cut boards, it can be mounted in a case and everything.

as far as the rom goes, im not going to mess with the maps. i would be much more comfortable with a piggyback, then a burnt chip. i would rather be able to adjust on the fly, rather than be restricted to whats in the ROM.

all i want to do is remove the speed limiter, and bump the rev limit. the rest im not touching.

I am still looking for a Bosch sensor controller schematic. It has been done, I know, but I cannot find a schematic for it. There are many schematics for the NTK sensor controllers, but that sensor is still like $200.

There should be only minor differences between the two controllers... heating elements are slightly different... calibration curves are a bit different, but the same basic controller setup should work.

I read somewhere that one of the WBO2 kits has a few jumpers that you can change to switch from NTK to Bosch, so it shouldn't be that hard. I'll keep looking. Getting that controller is right at the top of my list.

the cost of a two channel ntk wideband setup is pretty high. you take two ntk sensors and a controller, and thats the price of a aftermarket oil pump [rb26]. if that can be cut to $100-130, were good.
